Opening night
This Sunday gone was Mosaic’s first public gathering. It was a big step for us. For the first three of these monthly gatherings we’re going through a series we’re calling ‘Heroes‘. And we were really pleased with how this first one went.
It was held in a great venue called the Urban Deli, right in the centre of Sheffield. We had around 25 people show up and within that there were amazingly 8 or 9 different nationalities. The evening was a mix of music, film, conversation, and some FABULOUS cakes!
We had a few technical issues, but by and large we were really pleased with how the night went. It felt like a significant step for us and we’re excited to see how things unfold.
If you want to listen to the podcast from the night, you can do that here.
Here’s a few pictures from the night taken by our very own photographer, Liam Dangerfield:

We got the venue for free but paid for it by getting the owners to provide lots of cake for everyone! And then people were buying drinks throughout.
Let us know what you think of Rachel, Ryan, Chantelle, and a guy called Andy doing a cover of a great Ben Harper song. The recording of the whole night wasn’t brilliant unfortunately, but hopefully you’ll get a bit of a feel!
