The renovation begins
We didn’t have a camera tonight so we’ll post some picture tomorrow, but tonight we got started on the dining room in our new house. Our plan is simply to strip all the wallpaper off and then repaint the whole room. We made a good start. Probably about two thirds there with the stripping. It’s not nearly as fun as getting to the painting part though. Hopefully we’ll be at that point by tomorrow afternoon.
It feels like we’re at the stage where we have to make things worse in order to make the house better. This week we had the old central heating system ripped out and a brand new one put it. It’s fantastic, but it’s left a lot of mess in every single room!
I think we’re realising how much we need to do…but it’ll be fun. Just need to make sure we don’t kill ourselves in the process!

Not been to IKEA yet. Getting some of the decorating done first so we have less stuff to move out the way when we’re painting!
I’m with you Lon…just that we can’t afford to pay someone to do it all!

We are in the midst of renovation ourselves. So I know how you feel. Enjoy the process and we look forward, as do you, to the completion.
