Simon, to be honest, I wouldn’t mind a mac. I mean, they do look cool. Having said that, I actually think Sony is producing some very nice looking machines (my own included). But obviously none of us would be so fickle as to buy something based on looks (ok, we all so DO do that!) so what are the more meaningful differences?
Security - Apple does seem to be more secure than PC’s but this is a bit misleading. If you are a hacker wanting to cause trouble, do you focus on the machine with the 90% (PC) market share or the machine with 10% (MAC)?
When it comes to graphical programs and things like podcasting, blogging, etc, Mac does seem to be better geared for this. But to be honest, if you only use a computer for very basic tasks then I’m not sure the significant additional cost of a mac is worth it.
There just a few of top of my head thoughts…anyone else want to chime in?
