We’re here
Well it’s been a long day, but we’re here. There were loads of kids on the flight all excited about seeing Micky Mouse. It made for quite a noisy flight, though most were well behaved.
We arrived at Orlando International Airport just before 3pm Orlando time (8pm UK) and then, by the time we’d got our baggage, sorted our hire car, and driven to the hotel, it was around 5.30pm.
It’s been great already to see some familiar faces ahead our of training with the International Mentoring Network (IMN) and we enjoyed catching up over some complimentary food.
Here’s a few pics from our day:

Glad you made it back to the good ole’ US of A! Rachel looks sort of cold to be in warm, sunny Florida…especially coming from England. Heath and I will see you all Monday morning.

Thanks Deana. I had bacon, sausages, baked beans, hash browns, fried egg, and toast. Very nice!
Eric, looking forward to seeing you and Heath. As to Rachel looking cold, so far we’ve had torrential rain and thunder storms. What’s that about?!

Howdy guys,
Glad to see you made it! Remember, after any major travelling excursion both “parties” (Rachel and Sam) must be on full code red 36-hour “Grump alert”, whereby any time someone gets a case of the grumps, they need to be lovingly reminded of a few crucial pieces of information:
1) It’s probably jet lag
2) A nap is appropriate
3) Big american portions for dinner will help
4) A brisk walk helps regenerate the body
5) Snap out of it or you’ll ruin my hard-earned vacation
6) I mean it!
Also the H.A.L.T. method (Hungry, angry, lonely, tired) is very useful in these moments, although it’s best not to quote this source directly, for fear of striking a “judging” tone to your loved travel companion, which may mean that you are in the doghouse big time for a further 24 hours plus.
Feel free to bring me a bag of reeces’ cups miniatures while you’re there, and Sam, if you’d like you may create for me a Gmail account (as we briefly mentioned in January). You may name it anything you like, so long as it’s not too insulting (e.g. ryan_is_a_complete_loser_at_everything@gmail.com)
Have fun, keep blogging.
Ryan
