Overwhelmed by boxes
If all goes to plan, a week on Friday we’ll be moving into the new house that we’re buying. The thought of owning our own home and transforming it into something exactly as we want it is definitely exciting. Sadly, preparing to move house is not so much fun. Well, for me at least. Rachel seems to LOVE packing. That just seems wrong to me.
We seem to be surrounded by boxes and mess at the moment. I’m sure we’re making progress though, even if it doesn’t feel like it.

I hate packing… moving however is very exciting. Now’s the time to dump out stuff you really don’t need! i wish i did a bit more ‘cleansing’ in my last move… there’s some stuff lying around now that I know won’t part with us till we move again!

You’re right about it being a good chance for a clear out. There’s a whole load of stuff we’ve discovered which we haven’t touched even once since we moved in over 2 years ago!
On a slightly less exciting note, we’ve just found out that we won’t be able to move until we’ve back from Orlando now. Bummer.

That is a bummer…but think..it will give you something to look forward to once you’re back!
I love cleaning out…and I don’t mind packing…but I really like unpacking and putting your things in a new place!

My tutor was just sharing with me today that she move house 7 years ago and still has things in unopened boxes, hhmmm must really need them!!! She thinks she will just dump them without ever opening them!

Still packing and chucking stuff out. I think packing boxes is like doing a puzzle with your stuff! I like the challenge of trying to get the best fit!

Don’t worry Jason…that’s the picture after we’ve started making things more ordered. One of the reasons we got wireless internet at home was so that we could work on our laptops anywhere in the house as we physically couldn’t get in the study!!
