Good friends
These last few days we got to spend an extended weekend with our good friends Simon and Lis and their four month old baby Benjamin. I have known Simon and Lis since university and they were also part of a team I took out to Ghana in 1998. We have a lot of great shared experiences and memories. They also are very much like-hearted people.
We didn’t do a lot to be honest, but it was just great to chat, share stories, and talk about our dreams and hopes. We are actually hoping (and twisting God’s arm) that they may move to Sheffield as we’d love to have them involved with Mosaic and they’d love to be too. We’ll see!
Anyway, here are some pictures from the weekend. My favourite is the one of Benjamin wearing a Sheffield United hat! (For those of you who don’t know, Sheffield United are one of Sheffield’s two main football clubs and they were just promoted to the Premier League and will now be competing with the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea).

Good to hear from you, Russ!
Sheffield Wednesday are basically just rubbish now! They finished near the bottom of the Championship last year (that’s the league below the Premiership).
Mike Breen used to lead St Thomas’s Church in Sheffield and I actually used to lead a “cluster” for about a year back in 1999 and went there whilst I was a student. Mike’s great! He’s actually over in the US now. Helping transition Community Church of Joy and also teaching at Fuller Seminary in Pasedena.
