What a good result for the USA today. Who’d of thought they’d get a draw against Italy after their dismal performance against the Czech Republic? Well here’s a picture of Rachel expressing her support for the USA during the game…I hope our American readers appreciate that!!

My mom and I have noticed that Rachel has been awful quite. It sure was a really surprising game. I can’t believe all those yellow and red cards today!

Support for Brazil will not be forthcoming as they are a genuine threat to England’s chances…not sure the same can be said for the USA!
Rachel’s been quiet as she has treated her laptop badly and broken the wireless adapter and now expects me to get her a new one we’ll see!! Naughty wife.
Rachel says she tripped over it…she just seemed to trip over it most days!!

Of course you were solidly behind the USA, if you think that they aren’t a genuine threat to England.
This from the girl who aparently has an England shirt being mailed to her from Berlin sometime soon. Am I a traitor? Or is it just that I really “fancy” a particular boy from Poole? Well, hopefully it will never be tried. Maybe England and USA won’t meet each other in this tournament.

I suspect England and the US won’t meet…though it would be quite fun if we did!
Oh, and you’re not a traitor if you choose to support a team that has a genuine chance of winning the world cup over your own team which doesn’t!!

I find myself strangely torn between England and Sweden…I would like to see the English players finally fulfill their potential, but can’t bear the thought of hearing about England winning the World Cup one more time!

As for the rest, nonsense! You can’t just support whichever teams are likely to win. After all, you are demonstrably not supporting Brazil. I hope if I had lived in 1773 I would have cheerfully thrown the tea overboard.
Ah, well. As John Cleese says in another case, Don’t mention the war. That’s what football is for!
