Rachel took this picture on our last night in LA back at Dean and Tina’s. It’s Dean’s sword and I’ve decided I want one now!

I would love to watch a sword be made.

No Sam, I don’t want to mess with you!!!!! That sword is serious business! Jason was actually swinging that very weapon around the living room last night. Made my stomach jump a little with each slice through the air. Once, as a trust building thing, he asked me to lay down on the floor while he held the sword, suspended, over my heart. Call it stupidity, call it Staci’s insatiable desire for experiencing a multitude of things in life, but I agreed. It didn’t increase my trust for Jason, but it was a reflection of my trust for him coupled with a healthy fear for the power of the weapon. Such a strange experience…
When are you going to get your own?

I don’t know if I’d trust Jason with that sword suspended over my heart…you’re either very brave or very foolish!!
No idea when I am going to get one…or where I’d get it from!

I would guess that it’s a combination of both in that situation. Sometimes I’m surprised at what I’m willing to do, just for the experience of it. Perhaps half the time it’s foolishness, and maybe the other half comes from a desire to push myself a little. I think you typically order these swords from somewhere on the internet. Dean or Dave could give you some ideas.

What’s up Sam! Great to hear from you and it was great meeting you this past week at Origins. It was an incredible time! I am assuming that you are probably back in Sheffield by now (or maybe on your way). I hope and pray all rocks out with Mosaic Sheffield and I also hope and pray that I will get the opportunity to come your way in the future and spend some time out there taking part in God’s moving in the UK. We definitely must keep in touch and keep each other posted on what’s happening across the globe. Talk to you soon! rock on!

If it is, you are the true king!

Sam
It seems that you are one who is on the developing side of things for VOX. Curious if there is anyway to get/design my own header for my vox spot.

Yes, I second Sam’s question…there’s this picture I found that I think would make a great Vox look.

Oh and by the way, don’t you look fearsome! I have some friends (they are guys) that, when each of them got married, they chipped in and gave each other swords as the gift. I’m not sure where they got them from, though.

Sorry people…been a bit slow at the old replies to your comments!
Jeff - thanks for stopping by and, yes, let’s keep in touch!
Dale - you never know!
Marty - we are going to be introducing the ability to upload your own header in the future, but this feature isn’t available yet. We hope to make available a timescale of site developments shortly to give people an idea of when features will be ready.
Mel - see reply to Marty! (Thanks for your comments on my posts whilst we were in LA and sorry for lack of responses. How are you doing? Through with all your wedding showers yet?!)

I’m on your side, Sam. It’s that kind of decision Joshua had to make outside Jericho (Joshua 5:13). Also add some Ephesians 6:17, ‘take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God’!

Looking deadly Sam. A man wielding a sword without socks and shoes is one to stay away from.

Sam,
Sorry for the delay in responding…not entirely through with showers but have launched full-force into weddings! Which combined with becoming busier at work has meant a lot less blogging lately. Also I had some other things going on I think I just needed to process internally first.
I’ll start posting on weddings soon…as soon as I decide how much of my point of view is fit to print! I can be unkind at times…and I don’t want anybody to be mad at me.

You are a busy bee, Mel! Oh, and don’t hold back with your point of view…it’ll be fun to read!
