A claim to fame

Not being one for name dropping (did I say I went to school and was in the same French set as Lewis Moody, the current England rugby player?), I thought I’d mention a friend of mine who hit the big time as a actor after landing the role of Darcy in the new version of Pride and Prejudice. Yes, Matthew Macfayden and I went to the same school (Oakham School, in Rutland).

Ok, ok, so I should just make something clear. The actual truth is that I only found out that he went to the same school as me yesterday (four years above me) and I don’t know him at all. I think it still just about counts as a claim to fame though!

Sam…can I get your autograph? You know…since you kind of almost know all these famous people? :D

  • Sam. Sam.

I’ll see what I can do. Due to the sheer number of requests I get, I have had to start charging but, seeing it’s you, I may let you have it for free. :)

    Ha ha ha!

We’re still waiting on Max’s passport to book our flights there…we have to make sure he has one…and can get one…before we make the purchase!

You’ll have to introduce us to all your movie start/rugby star friends!

Let’s play six degrees of separation…You can connect yourself to Matthew McFadden within one, I can connect myself to Samuel West within two (guest speaker at an acting course my friend Lauryl-the-actress-from-Tulsa took in England a few years back)…I’m sure if any of our LA friends could beat us hands down, though, if they decided to jump in.

So why is your picture on yours but mine doesn’t show up? Is there something I need to check to make it work?
