One year on (Part 1)
Having just celebrated our first anniversary, I thought it was probably about time I wrote a few thoughts down about marriage. First off, is it really a year? That’s gone by so quickly. It hardly seems like a moment ago that I was looking down the aisle watching my beautiful bride-to-be walking towards me. (Thankfully my jokes about her tripping up on the way down didn’t come to pass.) But where did that year go?

I was chatting to my cousin Peter at my cousin Joshua’s wedding a few weeks ago and we were talking about how everyone says that your first year of marriage is your worst. Well all I can say to that is “fantastic! If this year has been the worst then I can’t wait for the years to come…they’re going to be great!
Whenever the single guys at church chat to us about marriage we are both very quick to highly recommend it! And that’s how it feels. I’m sure there will be many tough times ahead and lots of challenges, but all in all I can only keep going on about how good it’s been! Marriage has been a real blessing and we can so see God’s hand on our lives in bringing us together and in His plans for the future.
Well that’s enough ramblings for now…but I’ll share some more later.

Yeah, I think our first year was our worst which isn’t saying anything bad. The second year has been even better than the first. Congrats on your anniversary and yeah, even though there are tough times…when you’re brought together by the Father, it’s always such a beautiful thing.
Peace,
