C’mon on England!
I thought I should take a break from my more spiritual thoughts to celebrate the success of the English cricket team! Having been a cricket fan since I was about 8 it’s been fantastic to finally see us winning! That it was the Australians we beat makes it even better of course – especially after winning the Rugby World Cup too!! (Sincere apologies to any Aussies reading this…yeah right!)
It has been an amazing summer of cricket whether English or Australian though. I nearly fell over 
in shock when Rachel told me she’d watched over two and a half hours on the last day! (She REALLY isn’t (wasn’t?!) a cricket fan!) The cricket must have been good.
Anyway, I suppose I should finish with the gloating for now and trust it won’t be nearly as long again until we see more cricketing success!

Can’t say that I follow cricket much (it’s hard to do from Nebraska, where most people think of chirping bugs when you mention it), but I do have a Jamaican brother-in-law who loves it. Anyway, Congratulations…
